What is VoIP?

Voice over IP (VoIP) is a technology that allows you to use your internet connection to make phone calls.

What makes CCSi VoIP different from other VoIP services?

CCSi’s resilient network architecture is paired with an AWS partnership to ensure you get the best voice quality. As an integrator and cloud services provider, we work with you to tailor unified communication services that meet the specific needs of your business.

Am I locked into a contract?

No, our hosted VoIP service is provided on a month-to-month basis unless you sign into an annual contract. Annual contracts provide additional savings, but month-to-month will give you the flexibility to cancel any time if you’re not satisfied. We do not charge cancellation fees.

What is E911?

E911 provides the VoIP 911 callers’ location and callback number to emergency services (PSAP). Dispatchers and first responders can’t begin to help you without first knowing your location. To learn more about E911 laws, please view https://ccsicommunicationsunications.com/e911-changes/

How much bandwidth will I need in order to use CCSi VoIP Service?

You need roughly 0.1 Mbps per call. To estimate the broadband speed needed – Example: If you have 25 phones, and everyone was on the phone at the same time, you would use 2.5Mbps. If at your busiest time only half of the phones were in use at any given time, you would only need 1.25Mbps. Give us a call if you have any questions.

How does CCSi ensure service reliability?

CCSi’s uses Amazon’s Tier 4 data centers with network infrastructure, carrier, HVAC, power and facility redundancy. Each client’s system is configured for full redundancy with automatic scaling and switchover capability across different data centers. By partnering with Amazon as the leader in managing multi-billion dollar data centers, we get to pass on the savings and reliability to our clients.

What is the Difference between a land line and VoIP service?

Land line telephones communicate with one another over physical equipment in a fixed location while VoIP utilizes the internet, providing you with better quality while saving equipment and maintenance costs.

Is CCSi VoIP call quality good?

Yes, with sufficient internet speed you will get HD call quality (utilizing HD codec G722). This exceeds that of your regular landline by doubling the sampling rate. See FAQ on bandwidth for more info.

Does CCSi provide training once installed?

We will walk you through everything and ensure that you’re fully comfortable with the system. If requested, CCSi can provide onsite training for your staff members.

Do I need to make any changes to my network?

If you have a small office, then you shouldn’t have to make any changes. For larger companies, we suggest configuring the switch for a voice VLAN and setting the QoS settings on both the switch and firewall. CCSi can assist in setting this up.

In most cases, yes. Please check with the CCSi engineering team to determine if there are any issues with feature support.
